Cory D. Bovenzi, MD

Dr. Cory D. Bovenzi leads the practice and personally performs every facial plastic surgery done there. He holds board certification in two fields, otolaryngology (which covers head and neck surgery) and facial plastic surgery, and is also certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His medical degree is from Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson in Philadelphia, where he graduated in the top 1% of his class. He completed an otolaryngology residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and a facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine. He has performed more than 5,000 facial surgeries and holds privileges at Littleton Adventist Hospital and Porter Adventist Hospital. His routine work includes eyelid surgery, brow lifts, rhinoplasty, neck lifts, buccal fat reduction and chin liposuction, along with facelifts such as deep plane and revision procedures. He developed the brow lift technique the practice uses, and also performs specialized facelifts, including the mini lower face and neck lift. He injects Botox, Dysport, Juvederm, Restylane and Sculptra and performs laser treatments. He has more than thirty peer-reviewed publications and national meeting presentations to his name. In 2022 he co-wrote a systematic review of tranexamic acid in facelift surgery. He attends an annual plastic surgery conference and belongs to a surgeons' journal club. Consultations start with learning each patient's goals and concerns. He advises on the right timing for surgery and will say when filler may achieve a good result instead.
