Brent J. Smith, MD

Brent J. Smith, MD, is the founding facial plastic surgeon of Smith Cosmetic Surgery in Centennial. He has officially retired from practice, and Dr. Cory Bovenzi now leads the practice. He performed surgery at the practice for about 30 years, and before choosing his successor he spent roughly eight years evaluating more than 100 doctors.

He completed undergraduate work in biology with a chemistry minor at Stanford University, then earned his M.D. at Indiana University School of Medicine. After a general surgery internship and an otolaryngology and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati, he completed a facial plastic and cosmetic surgery fellowship under Devinder S. Mangat, MD, in Edgewood, Kentucky.

He was one of the first 50 in the country certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and he is also certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology for head and neck surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and uses FACS after his name. He chose to focus only on the face, with instruments and staff dedicated to that work. He has hospital affiliations with Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver and Littleton Adventist Hospital in Littleton.
