Christine Poulos, MD

Dr. Poulos founded Back to Basics Pediatrics and is a board-certified pediatrician with more than 30 years of experience caring for children and their families. She received her medical degree from Rush Medical College of Rush University Medical Center in 1992 and completed her pediatric residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals between 1992 and 1995.

She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Before starting her own practice, she worked in large, high-volume pediatric practices and was medical director for an HMO, a role that also included administrative leadership.

She is an Associate Staff member at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, where she leads newborn Zoom classes within the hospital's prenatal education program. She is also on staff at Lurie Children's Hospital through the Lurie Community Pediatric Partnership.
