About
Ben Mitrano owns FrancesRay Jules, which he founded in 2001, and works as its creative director and master colorist. He has more than 25 years of experience as a stylist. His earlier work includes time at Judy Jetson Inc. in Cambridge, a stylist role at Man in the Moon Salon at Faneuil Hall, and directing the Elizabeth Arden Salon at Saks Fifth Avenue. At Saks he worked on runway fashion shows for the Fifth Avenue Club and other events that raised money for local and national charities.
He is currently a lead ASK expert educator for Schwarzkopf Professional. Earlier he was a Reken professional for five years and a Wella national educator for eleven years. As an editorial artist he has created hair and makeup for Platinum Wedding magazine covers, and his work has appeared in the Boston Globe's Go Red Insert, Shut Up Magazine and Platinum Weddings Magazine. Modern Salon Magazine has called him a hidden gem.
His focus spans all aspects of styling, with precision cutting and color correction among his specialties, along with bridal updos and formal hairstyles. He has supported the American Heart Association, The Ellie Fund and Dress for Success.
