Sara Okamuro owns the salon. She bought the building, which previously housed a tanning business called Totally Tan, in 2018. After renovations, the UV tanning service was phased out and esthetics, hair services and reflexology were added, so the business now focuses on hair, skin and nails.
A visit starts with a conversation. Hair stylists talk through each client's hair goals and map out a plan, and clients leave with at-home care products and instructions for keeping their results fresh between appointments. The nail room is private and kept clean and well stocked, and the space has a coffee bar and refreshment area and uses customized aromatherapy. The hair area has three chairs and newer equipment.
The salon sells hair care and styling products from Redken, Mizani, Cult & King and Moroccan Oil. It also offers booth rental positions for stylists.
Services are offered regardless of gender in a calm, inclusive and safe setting, with the aim of helping clients relax. The salon puts the health of clients' nails at the top of its priorities.
