The Hidden Spa opened in 2021 at 206 Cooper St, Suite 111, in Statesville. Monica Hicks, the owner and lead esthetician, previously worked as an esthetician and ran a Merle Norman Cosmetics franchise before moving the spa to Downtown Statesville. The spa describes itself as Iredell County's premier medi-day spa and as award-winning; those are the spa's own claims.

Facial menus include a Face Reality acne consultation and treatment, which the spa offers without oral medications, along with LamProbe electrodesiccation for benign skin irregularities such as skin tags, cherry angiomas, milia and clogged pores. The spa notes LamProbe healing typically takes 7 to 21 days, and that Face Reality results typically begin within 6 to 12 weeks with consistent home care and in-office treatments. Treatments are usually every 2 to 3 weeks during the early clearing phase. Skin Strategy Sessions include a personalized 90-Day Skin Roadmap, and Facial Imaging uses a skin imaging device.

Massage is performed by licensed North Carolina massage and bodywork therapists. Options include Swedish relaxation, deep tissue, hot stone and prenatal massage, the last offered in the second and third trimesters with supportive pillows. Massage add-ons are CBD oil, cupping therapy, a hydrating hand mask and sinus massage. Assisted stretching is also available. The spa has private infrared sauna sessions, a Sweat Sesh with 30 minutes of private sauna time, and an unlimited monthly sauna membership at $99 with no annual commitment.

Spa packages bundle services with access to the infrared sauna and Relaxation Lounge, with robes, wraps, slippers, beverages and light snacks. The Tranquility Spa Package at $299 allows 2+ hours. The Signature Escape at $399 allows 3+ hours. Spa Day for Two costs $899 for two guests, allows 4+ hours, and includes a private shared treatment room, a private lounge and lunch from Groucho's Deli. Nonrefundable deposits apply to services of 90 minutes or longer and to bookings of two or more guests. Custom experiences for individuals, couples or groups can be arranged by phone. Appointments can be booked online, and instant online gift certificates and gift cards are available.

The spa does not bill insurance, but it provides receipts for every service. HSA/FSA-eligible services may be covered with a Letter of Medical Necessity from a physician. Front desk hours are Tuesday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 4pm, and the spa is closed Sundays and Mondays.

Treatments are personalized, with consultations used to set each plan, whether for skin, massage, lashes and brows, or relaxation.
