Gel-X extensions are the salon's specialty. It uses the genuine Aprés Gel-X soft gel system, with full-coverage soft gel tips bonded to the natural nail through a thin layer and cured under a lamp, after light buffing for prep. Per the salon, Gel-X usually lasts two to three weeks before a fill or fresh set, and fills are offered as an alternative to a full new set. The salon says Gel-X is gentler on natural nails than acrylic when it is applied and removed correctly. Broken or lifted Gel-X, gel and acrylic nails can be repaired the same day, including nails done at other salons, and professional soak-off removal is available for sets from elsewhere. Acrylic removal is offered too.
Other services include gel manicures, which are built up in cured layers over nail and cuticle prep and are $40 for a solid color, with a French finish at $10 extra. Pedicures start at $30 and gel pedicures are $45. A pedicure includes a warm soak, shaping, cuticle care, callus smoothing, and a foot and lower-leg massage in massage chairs before polish. Dip powder is applied without a lamp and removed by soaking in acetone, and the salon never dips back into a shared jar. Custom nail art is priced by the design and quoted at booking, with chrome, cat eye, French, ombre, glazed and hand-painted options. Acrylic full sets start at $65.
Prices are starting points, and length, nail art, repairs and removal can add to the total. The salon confirms the price with the client before service begins. Tipping is optional, and cash and card are both accepted. The salon is closed on Mondays, open Tuesday to Friday from 10:00am to 7:00pm, Saturday from 10:00am to 6:00pm, and Sunday from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments can be booked online, which takes about a minute, or by calling (818) 616-3040. Street parking is on the side streets just off the boulevard.
