Working Flower is a hair salon on South Lamar Boulevard in Austin, in suite 400 of the building at 1509 S Lamar Blvd. The menu covers color and highlighting, haircuts and styling, keratin smoothing, hand-tied extensions and scalp treatments. Hours are Tuesday from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Thursday and Friday from 10:30 AM to 6 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. The salon is closed Monday, Wednesday and Sunday.

Color services are priced and timed by the amount of work involved. Gloss refreshes are for clients who are already blonde, highlighted or balayaged. Root touch ups cover one to two inches of regrowth and do not include bleach. Bleaching is booked as a Color Transformation, which starts at $450 and takes about four and a half hours; the price can vary, so a consultation is recommended. Row move-up add-ons for one, two or three rows are booked alongside a color service.

Haircut options include a standard haircut at $88 with shampoo and blow dry, a Density Haircut at $88 for longer or thicker hair, a Transformation Haircut at $95 that includes a consultation, and a Clipper or Short Haircut at $66 for short cuts above the jaw. Bang and neck trims are $20. The salon does not do pixie cuts. Blowouts start at $70, and extension blowouts are $95.

Keratin treatments come in two versions: an Express Keratin Treatment at $185 that lasts one to three months, and a Keratin Treatment at $350 that lasts five to seven months. The Scalp Spa Experience at $130 combines a scalp scrub, scalp massage, deep conditioning mask, heated eye mask and quick blow dry. Shorter scalp add-ons include a massage and a scrub at $15 each, and a Customisable Treatment at $25 for specific needs such as hard water or oily hair.

New clients can book a free 15-minute consultation to talk through hair goals and costs. Clients are asked to cancel at least 24 hours before an appointment. A no-call, no-show is charged 30% of the appointment price.
