Stylists work as one team rather than as separate businesses under one roof, and they do not compete with each other. Stylists attend advanced classes taught by the salon's own educators throughout the year, held on salon time. Products are chosen to a standard set by Aveda's founder, Horst Rechelbacher. The salon is a Green Circle Salon, and leftover product is recycled instead of going down the drain.

Every service begins with a consultation, and new guests receive a complimentary color consultation. Color is quoted in person by the color specialist before the service starts, and that quote includes any toner or gloss. If a guest is unhappy with a color result, the salon offers a complimentary color adjustment. Guests are asked to arrive with dry hair for color and to skip heavy product. New guests and anyone planning a major change are booked for a full hour of haircut time, and thick, long or textured hair gets extra time that is reflected in the price. Hot tool finishing such as a flat iron or curling iron adds time and an additional charge. The salon describes the visit as relaxing, with a scalp massage and a glass of wine offered.

Weddings are handled through the salon's wedding planner, and couples are encouraged to book the bridal package early. The package starts at $470 per bride and includes a short pre-consultation to meet the stylist and team, a trial run of about three hours to set the updo and makeup, and service on the morning of the wedding. Keratin treatments and extensions are scheduled by phone.

Cancellations and reschedules need at least 24 hours notice. Appointments cancelled with less notice, and missed appointments, are charged the full cost of the service. Guests running more than 15 minutes late should contact guest care, which may move them to another stylist or day. Guests can book online at either location, or call or text for help choosing a stylist. Color services should be booked before other services so timing works out, and guests adding gray blending or color to a haircut should mention it when booking.

The salon works as one team with no competition among stylists, uses only Aveda color and hair care products, and trains only on the Aveda line.

The salon describes the experience as relaxing, with a scalp massage and a glass of wine offered during visits.
