Brow services are the core of the menu. Eyebrow cleanups and tweezing are booked for 45 minutes on a four to six week cycle, and no wax is used. Brow tint darkens and thickens the look of brows and colors only the hair. Brow stain is a hybrid of tint and henna that can last up to 10 days on the skin and up to 6 weeks on the hairs, depending on hair amount, darkness and skin texture; it needs 24 hours to set. Brow lamination strengthens and lifts brow hairs with a nourishing chemical solution, similar in process to a lash lift, and can last up to 8 weeks with proper care. Brow lamination can be combined with tint, stain or tweezing. It is not recommended for anyone with recent scratches, burns or scars near the eye, pregnancy or breastfeeding, skin conditions or inflammation in the brow area, eye irritation, or allergies to cosmetic, henna or semi-permanent tattoo products. Clients are asked to avoid Retin-A, AHAs, blood thinners and exfoliation for three days beforehand, and brows need 24 hours to set afterward.
Makeup is applied traditionally with brushes and sponges and covers any kind of event. A standard application takes about an hour, and specialty looks such as heavy glam, graphic eyeliner or cut creases may be booked for longer. Bridal trials are recommended. Bridal pricing is the same for the bride and her bridal party, and bridal services are priced like regular makeup unless done on location. Makeup booked on Sundays and holiday weekends may carry premium pricing. Face and body paint is priced by how long it takes, so clients text for a quote. All brushes, tools and palettes are sanitized after each makeup application.
On-location bridal work covers the Metro Detroit area, with in-suite bridal services also available. On-location bridal requires a minimum of three to four makeup applications, and each face takes about an hour. A $30 travel fee covers up to 30 minutes of travel outside the Clarkston suite, with longer trips priced accordingly. Because the studio is closed for the whole day during travel, on-location services cost more. The studio is a one-artist practice, so for on-location bookings a second artist may be needed; the artist can recommend others, and clients are responsible for finding one if none are available.
Facials are customized for each client and booked for one hour, beginning with a consultation form. Facial products include Image Skin Care and Stratia, along with other brands. Body waxing covers lip, chin, nose, underarm and bikini areas. Clients are asked to grow hair to at least a quarter inch before a wax and to avoid physical activity and water other than a shower for 24 hours afterward.
Eyebrows are shaped with tweezers and scissors rather than wax, and makeup tools are sanitized after every application.
