Wild Soul is owner-operated and works in a private suite of about 300 square feet with a view, so every appointment is one-on-one. Jackie Wilt founded it as a space where guests and the owner can be themselves. The salon describes itself as a holistic hair salon and head spa, and as a curly hair salon focused on scalp health.

Each client starts with a pre-appointment questionnaire and a consultation about hair history and care routine, followed by an assessment of the hair and scalp. Recommendations are built around hair type, scalp health and lifestyle. Curly clients are cut dry, before washing, so the natural movement and fall of the hair can be seen. Visits include aftercare on wash day habits, at-home routines and product use, and collaborative consultations are included at no extra charge. A virtual consultation is available before booking to talk through hair goals, budget and fit.

The head spa begins with a microscopic scalp analysis, followed by a customized treatment that uses temperature-controlled scalp steam and breathwork, and ends with an at-home plan. It comes in three versions: MINI at $105 for about 45 minutes, DELUX at $145 for about 60 minutes, and INDULGE at $205 for about 90 minutes, which adds conditioning and a hand, shoulder and neck massage. Head spa visits are done one guest at a time and do not include a finish style.

Color options include gloss and tone, face-frame and partial or full foil, balayage, grey blending with root shadowing, and Max Blonde, which requires a consultation and deposit. Color correction and color transformation are priced at $140 per hour. Services are priced a la carte, and each step in a multi-part appointment is charged separately. Haircuts are recommended every 8 to 12 weeks, with maintenance in between. Wedding services include bridal previews, styled-up and styled-down looks, and on-location work in the salon's area, and the salon also runs virtual classes and one-on-one online sessions for clients who live elsewhere.
