Wild Honey was established in 2020 by owners Brittany and Joan. The owners say they started the salon to create a space where people feel they belong, and they aim to raise the salon experience for the Philadelphia community and for beauty professionals. The salon says it wants guests to leave with more than a haircut, with the experience staying with them after the visit. Team education is a stated focus, and the team takes part in frequent training. More than 20 team members work across the two locations.

The Philadelphia salon is in Old City, a few doors down from the Chocolate Works apartments, with parking garages a three to five minute walk away. Wifi, snacks and other beverages are available during services there. Friends, family and children who come along wait in the lounge area during the appointment. The West Chester salon is at 22 W Market Street, with nearby parking garages on Market Street and South High Street.

Haircuts start at $75, and a treatment haircut starts at $100 and includes a consultation, shampoo, head massage, a customized hair treatment and a signature blow out. Partial balayage starts at $160 and full balayage at $198. Prices listed are starting points and vary with how long the service takes.

Booking policies: a card on file is required, and appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours ahead. Cancelling less than 24 hours ahead is charged at 50 percent of the service cost, and less than 12 hours ahead at 100 percent. Cancellations by email are not accepted. Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late may be asked to reschedule or shorten their services. Minor adjustments matching the original consultation are free within 7 days of the service. No refunds are offered. Major debit and credit cards and Apple Pay are accepted, and gratuity can be added to the card. Color bookings online need a haircut or blow dry added for finishing time.

Each first visit begins with a conversation about hair goals, budget and inspiration photos, followed by a plan for future visits. Stylists create a custom color formula for each color guest, saved for future appointments, and share styling tips during the service and at-home care advice at the end of the visit.
