WAXXED+

WAXXED+, also written Waxxed Plus, is a private studio at 8507 Oxon Hill Road in Fort Washington, Maryland. The studio describes its full-body waxing and brow services as luxury. Shantae, the owner, is the licensed esthetician who performs the appointments.

The menu covers Brazilian waxing and full-body waxing, along with facial hair removal on the lip, chin, cheeks or full face, which takes 15 to 30 minutes and is priced from $10 to $50. For brows, the Signature Brow Sculpt ($23, about 15 minutes) includes brow mapping, precise waxing, trimming and shaping, and Brow Tinting ($70, about 45 minutes) adds a custom tint for more depth and definition.

Clients are asked to arrive at least 5 minutes early. A 10-minute grace period applies, and arrivals more than 10 minutes late are canceled with the deposit forfeited. A 50% deposit is taken at booking and applied to the final payment. Cancellations or reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice to keep the deposit, and no-call, no-show clients forfeit the deposit and may be restricted from future bookings. Hair should have 4 to 6 weeks of growth and should not be trimmed beforehand, since full removal is not guaranteed otherwise. Clients must be at least 14, and those under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Walk-ins are welcome, and availability is checked by texting (301) 202-2264. Email is info@waxxedplus.com. Hours are Monday to Friday 10 AM to 8 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 9 PM and Sunday 9 AM to 6 PM. Final payments can be made by cash, Apple Pay or major credit card. Gift certificates and packages are sold, and retail products are listed on the booking platform.

The studio also runs a two-day, one-on-one Private Brazilian Wax Masterclass for licensed estheticians. It costs $1,300, with a $500 non-refundable deposit and an $800 balance due on the first day. A Full Body Wax Add-On to the masterclass costs $450 and adds a half-day session. Masterclass deposits and tuition payments are non-refundable.
