Waxing is done with a soft wax containing azulene, a chamomile derivative. Fresh wax is poured into a new cup for every service and discarded afterward, so no wax is ever double-dipped. Every waxer is licensed and trained in the salon's gentle waxing style, and the salon describes its waxing as clean, affordable and friendly.
The vajacial spa treatment for ingrown hairs in the bikini area includes steam, CBD salt exfoliation when needed, extractions, LED light therapy, a hydrogel mask and the Lollybat CBD Lightening Serum. An underarm facial can be added to it. A soothing hydrogel mask is also offered after hair removal for the mons pubis area.
Lollybat is the salon's own clean beauty line, launched in 2021, for preventing and treating ingrown hairs and their marks. Its products are sold on Etsy, at lollybat.com and in every Wax Candy salon. The company says it continues to work toward sustainable packaging.
Appointments can be booked online at each location, and memberships are set up through online booking. Hours at all three locations are Monday to Thursday 10am to 7pm and Friday to Sunday 9am to 6pm. Cancellations and reschedules need at least 2 hours' notice. Downtown Los Angeles has limited metered street parking, Long Beach has no lot but 2-hour street parking nearby, and Pasadena offers free parking in its lot. Before a waxing visit, hair should be at least 1/4 inch long, so clients should wait at least 2.5 weeks after shaving and avoid trimming or shaving beforehand. Waxing is recommended every 4 to 6 weeks, as hair becomes lighter, thinner and less painful over time.
