Waves & Ripples, LLC is a Texas limited liability company that also uses the name Waves & Ripples Family Salon. The Carrollton salon is described as the third Waves & Ripples salon since 1979. The earlier North Josey Lane location served clients for nearly eight and a half years before it closed at the end of 2019, when its lease expired.

Since January 2020 the business has worked out of Hair Dimensions Salon, Suite 140, under a contract. Clients book by calling 972-418-8888. Hours are Tuesday through Thursday 9:30am to 4:30pm, Friday 9:30am to 7:00pm, and Saturday 9:30am to 4:30pm, with the salon closed on Sundays and Mondays. Walk-ins are accepted until 3pm on weekdays, until 5pm on Fridays, and until 2pm on Saturdays, but clients with appointments are served first, so walk-in clients may wait. Clients are asked to arrive at least 10 minutes early. Children must be supervised, since the salon uses sharp scissors and chemicals.

Listed prices are starting points. A free consultation with a stylist gives a more accurate price, and prices may change without notice. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for Brazilian Blowout, keratin, color correction, extensions, toppers, toupees, wigs and formal or bridal services. Deposits go toward the appointment day's service, and cancelling within 72 hours or not showing up forfeits the full deposit. Appointments need 24 hours' notice; later cancellations carry a $25 fee and a missed appointment with no call carries a $50 fee, both added to the next visit. Discounts of 10% are offered to seniors 65 and older, armed forces members and emergency services workers at select stylists, though not on permanent waves. Hair Dimensions accepts credit cards, checks and cash, and checks should be made out to Hair Dimensions.

According to the salon, its hair care is sulfate free, gluten free, paraben free and cruelty free. The salon is also affiliated with Locks of Love and accepts hair donations as well as financial contributions to the organization.

Prices are set after a free consultation with a stylist, so the quoted starting point can be adjusted to the individual client's hair.
