About

Vita Day Spa has served the Twin Cities since 2014. It opened a second location in White Bear Lake in 2020, alongside the Shoreview spa. The spa says it sees a steady mix of men and women who come for similar services.

Facials are performed by licensed estheticians, according to the spa. A signature facial starts with an assessment of the client's skin and current treatments, then may include deep cleansing, steaming, extractions as needed, a mask on request, therapeutic facial massage and suggestions for home care. Express, hot stone and deep cleansing facials are available at both locations, while micro-needling, spa peels and Fire & Ice facials are offered only at White Bear Lake.

The Korean body scrub is the spa's central service. The spa states that it is the only Korean body scrub spa in the Twin Cities and describes itself as well known for these scrubs. Scrubs are performed by licensed estheticians in a private station and follow a sequence based on a traditional Korean bath house. The basic version uses soap and body wash. The Plus version adds a mini facial with a cucumber mask and a hair wash. The Premium version adds a body treatment with moisturizing milk, honey and coconut oil, massage movement, a 10-minute body wrap, and the same mini facial and hair wash. A 15 to 30 minute infrared sauna session can come before the scrub, and sauna time is also offered on its own as relaxation time.

Massage is provided by a team of massage therapists and includes Swedish, express, deep tissue, hot stone and regular relaxation options. Express massage focuses mainly on the back and blends deep tissue and relaxation techniques. Deep tissue massage is offered in 60- and 90-minute sessions within packages. Spa packages combine infrared sauna, Korean body scrub and massage for individuals and couples, and are also booked for parties, bridal parties and team appreciation. Couples versions are priced per person for the same session lengths. Prices are not posted on the site, so clients are asked to call or check for current rates, since pricing can change.

Waxing covers facial areas and the full body for both men and women, and is offered at both locations. The spa says its most popular services are the Manzilian and leg waxing. Booking is online through Vagaro at each location or by phone. The White Bear Lake location is open 10 am to 9 pm every day. Couples and combined packages share a room at White Bear Lake and use separate rooms at Shoreview. Both locations have an open parking lot.

Treatments begin with an assessment of the client's skin or needs. The spa frames its Korean body scrub as a way to remove dead skin from the top layer, paired with massage for relaxation.
