Village Salon Studios
Salon suites in Albuquerque, NM
Village Salon Studios began in spring 2012 under the name Salon Studios of Corrales, founded by Debbie and Dan Phillips. The first location opened in November 2012 with nine studios, and a second opened in the same shopping center in November 2013 with 25 studios. A third location opened in 2021, and the business took the Village Salon Studios name at that time. Debbie Phillips died in March 2026, and the business now passes to her son, Deo Navarez, who runs it with his father, Dan Phillips.

The first location opened in November 2012 with nine studios, and a second opened in the same shopping center in November 2013 with 25 studios. Debbie Phillips died in March 2026, and the business now passes to her son, Deo Navarez, who runs it with his father, Dan Phillips.
The business rents studios rather than employing stylists. Each professional leases a private, individual studio, sets their own hours and rates, accepts their own payments, handles their own marketing and chooses which services to offer. Studios come with utilities, WiFi and 24/7 access, and a free washer and dryer are available to use. Professionals stay in touch through the Spaces app and an online community, which the business hopes will build a group of salon professionals who support one another.
Because the studios are run by independent professionals, the range of services depends on who is working in the building. Listed services include haircuts, color and balayage, men's cuts and beard work, nails, skin treatments and facials, lash and brow services, waxing, spray tanning, massage, makeup, braiding and wedding services, along with body treatments. Clients can look up a professional by name or find someone by service through the site. The business does not accept walk-ins, so clients book ahead with a professional directly.
Prospective tenants take a tour before reviewing a lease. Studio leases range from $620 to $1,265 per month depending on square footage and whether the term is one year or two, and a $550 security deposit is required. Tenants must hold the required New Mexico State Board license and establishment license, a City of Albuquerque business license, and a CRS number.
The business aims to build a community of independent salon professionals who support each other, with each professional running their own business from a private studio.
The business describes its atmosphere as bright, fair and supportive.
