Appointment length depends on the style, from a couple of hours for simpler looks to a full day for detailed or longer styles. The studio gives a time estimate when a booking is made. Clients are asked to arrive with clean, detangled hair, ideally washed and deep conditioned a day or two earlier, with no heavy oils or products on the day. A reference photo of the desired style is welcome.

Trish has been braiding for over 10 years. Each extension appointment starts with a scalp check and a talk about what the client's hair can handle. Throughout the appointment she checks tension and the scalp rather than braiding straight through. The studio aims to keep braids gentle on the scalp and avoid soreness. Clients are advised to wait about a week before washing new braids, and to keep the scalp clean under extensions and come back for a check-in if anything feels loose.

Core braid styles include knotless braids, box braids, feed-in cornrows, boho braids, Senegalese twists and stitch braids, with men's cornrows also offered. Box braids start at $200 and knotless braids at $220, and stitch braids are priced per braid from $20. Fixing locs that were started somewhere else is offered in most cases. The salon reports a 4.9 rating on Google.

Trish works on one client at a time with a focus on keeping braids gentle on the scalp, and avoids braiding through tension problems.
