VIDA Beauty Bar sits on Main Street in Hobart and runs a menu that covers brows, facials, hair, hair extensions, lashes, waxing and a few extras. Emily Villarreal owns the business and is a licensed cosmetologist. Vanessa Ashlock is the esthetics expert on the team.

About

Brows are one of the larger parts of the menu. Options range from simple shaping and tinting to brow lamination, with or without waxing and tinting. Permanent makeup includes microblading, powder brows, lip blushing and a two day 2-in-1 microblading and powder brow service. Powder brow follow-ups are included at six weeks, and a color boost is offered four to eight months after the original appointment. Some permanent makeup services need a deposit at booking, with microblading at $100 and the two day microblading course at $500.

Hair services include cuts, blowouts, color, balayage, highlights, glazes and color correction, which is priced by the hour. Keratin smoothing and an express keratin blowout are also offered. The K18 add-on is a two step molecular repair hair mask that the business says is meant to repair hair damage. Hair extensions include clip-in, weft and butterfly options, along with weft removal and a consultation.

Lash services cover classic, hybrid and volume extensions, with fills for current lash clients only. New lash clients book a full set, plus a removal if needed. Lash lifts, eyelash tinting and bottom lash tint are also listed. Facials range from a 30 minute express option to signature, acne-focused, hydration and dermaplaning facials, with add-ons for the undereye, lips, decollete and extractions. Waxing covers the face, lips, arms, legs, underarms, back, chest and bikini area, and multi-area packages are described as five sessions for the price of four.

Booking asks for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or changes. Cancellations made later than that carry a fee of 30 percent of the service price, and no-shows without prior notice are charged the full price. The studio is open Tuesday and Friday 10 AM to 6 PM, Wednesday and Thursday 12 PM to 8 PM, and Saturday 10 AM to 3 PM, and it is closed on Sunday and Monday.

Permanent makeup and facials are built around each client's needs, with product steps such as serums, moisturizer, eye cream and SPF as finishing touches.
