Nina's Nails

Nina's Nails is owned by Katie, its nail artist, who worked as a paralegal before moving into the nail industry. The focus of the business is custom nail services: a client brings an idea or inspiration, and it is turned into a finished nail look.

Locations work differently by day. Saturday appointments take place in Hobart, while Tuesday through Friday appointments are booked through the Tricoci University Highland booking site, at the campus on Highway Avenue in Highland. The exact location is shared after booking. The Tricoci University booking page lists hair, texture, color, lash, brow and facial services, which Tricoci University offers and which are performed by students under instructor supervision; those are not services of Nina's Nails.

Booking requires a 25% deposit that is non-refundable. The deposit secures the appointment, and the appointment is not confirmed until the deposit is received. The remaining balance is due right after the service. Cancellations and rescheduling requests need at least 24 hours' notice, and changes made with less notice forfeit the deposit. Three late cancellations or no-shows can prevent future bookings, and arriving more than 15 minutes late counts as a no-show. If the business cancels, the client is offered a reschedule with 50% off the rebooked service.

Clients with allergies are asked to let the business know in advance. Services are not performed on nails or skin showing fungus, open cuts or wounds, or infection. Complimentary repairs are offered for lifting, chipping or other quality issues when the business is contacted within 3 days of the appointment; later repairs may carry an additional charge. The guarantee does not cover picking, biting or peeling at nails, improper aftercare, or accidental damage after leaving. All services are final and non-refundable, and gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Custom work starts from each client's own idea, and the business uses mostly HEMA- and TPO-free products.
