Haircuts include a relaxing wash and conditioning, finish with styling, and come with guidance on maintenance and styling at home. Color, blonding and treatments also begin with a detailed consultation. Blonding is offered for all hair types, balayage is hand-painted, and blonde toning is used to neutralize brassiness. The salon recommends regular toning visits and sulfate-free products to keep blonde hair in good condition. Extensions are custom ordered to match color, texture and desired length, and they are hand installed by stylists. Every extension client has a complimentary in-salon consultation before any pricing is given.

For weddings and photo shoots, the salon offers special-occasion hair styling with wedding hair specialists on staff. Perm and relaxer services are fully customized and followed by aftercare education, and a perm on color-treated hair is considered once the salon has assessed the condition of the hair. Esthetics at Second Story includes Hydrafacials, cryotherapy, dermaplaning and peels. Facial treatments are customized after a consultation and skin analysis. Waxing is available for brows, face, arms, legs, underarms and bikini areas, and hard wax is used for coarse or very short hair.

Appointments are booked through the Book Now links on the website, and a valid credit card must be on file to book. Cancellations or reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice, otherwise a charge of 50% of the service fee may apply. Missed appointments are charged the full scheduled amount, and arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean the service cannot be given, with a cancellation fee possibly applying. Listed hours are Tuesday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. No Monday hours are listed. Gift cards are sold.
