The business now runs several locations around Atlanta. Van Michael Men is a separate grooming space on Battery Avenue in Atlanta, and Van Michael Aesthetics is a med spa beside the Sandy Springs salon that specializes in Botox and fillers. Injectable treatments are available only at the Aesthetics location, and salon clients receive 10% off its services. A corporate resource center is on Sandy Springs Circle.

Haircuts and color services both start with a consultation, followed by a scalp massage and a professional blow dry. New guests booking a haircut get a 90-minute appointment that begins with a photo consultation. Clients can choose a specific provider or book with whoever is available on the online booking site. Extensions, smoothing treatments and relaxers cannot be booked online; clients call to arrange a consultation first, and pricing for those varies by hair type, method and provider. Many prices are listed as starting at a stated amount and vary by consultation. Bang trims and neck cleanups are complimentary for existing clients and are booked by phone, while trimming split ends requires booking a full haircut.

Every aesthetics appointment begins with a one-on-one consultation, and makeup applications start with a personalized consultation as well. For weddings, brides are asked to contact the bridal concierge early to secure stylist time. Hair and makeup trials should be booked at least a month before the wedding, and facial injections should be completed at least six weeks before. Bridal services can take place in the salon or on site, and trial guests are limited to one or two companions.

The salon says it has raised more than $450,000 for Chattahoochee Riverkeeper over the past decade, and that Van Council received the River Guardian award from the organization in 2018. The salon describes itself as award-winning and lists industry awards from 2019 through 2025, including Salon Today Salon of the Year 2021 and Modern Luxury's Best Salon in Atlanta for 2024.
