Vacation Nail Collective was founded in 2021 by Rachel Messick, a nail artist who first worked independently from a home studio and later from a salon suite. The collective was set up to give independent nail artists the freedom to run their own businesses while working alongside other professionals in one space. The business describes itself as an independent nail art oasis.

Each artist operates independently and sees clients by appointment only. Clients reach out to the artist they choose directly about availability, services and pricing.

Visits happen only at the Orange studio, so house calls and outcalls are not available. Pets, friends and guests need prior approval before entering the studio. Free parking is offered at the Old Towne West Public Parking Structure, 130 N Lemon St. Visitors can also pay for parking along the street or in the many city lots scattered through Old Towne Orange.

Each artist works independently under one roof, handling their own bookings, services and pricing alongside other professionals.
