About
Rachel Messick is a founder of Vacation Nail Collective and works there as a nail artist. Before opening the collective, she ran her own practice, beginning in a home studio and later moving into a salon suite. Nail art and structured gel manicures are her main areas of focus. She takes on commercial and celebrity clients, a schedule that can mean moving some client appointments to another time. New clients can book up to two weeks out, while later bookings are made in person up to five weeks ahead. Sessions at the studio run two hours, and new clients are asked to arrive with bare nails. Removing dip, acrylic or polygel costs an extra $25. A single color manicure with gel overlay on natural nails is $105. Simple Art manicures are $120 for minimal and $140 for full, and Elevated Art manicures are $130 for minimal and $150 for full. Every manicure includes a dry manicure, an exfoliating scrub and light hydration.
