Presented as a full dermatology practice rather than a cosmetic-only office or med spa, the practice says its physicians consider each patient's symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, preferences and goals before recommending treatment. Dermatologists from different specialties work together so that each can contribute to a patient's plan. The practice aims to deliver individualized care with respect and compassion. It describes itself as LGBTQIA+ friendly and has faculty affiliated with Mt. Sinai Medical Center.
Medical dermatology covers acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, hair loss, warts and molluscum, vitiligo, contact dermatitis, nail dystrophy, hidradenitis suppurativa, benign growths, congenital moles and birthmarks, blue light therapy and skin cancer care. The pediatric service sees infants, children and adolescents for skin, hair and nail concerns, and uses lasers and devices for some childhood conditions. The practice says its pediatric team includes board-certified dermatologists with advanced training in childhood skin conditions.
Surgical dermatology includes Mohs surgery, skin cancer surgery, cyst removal, deroofing and earlobe repair. Mohs is an outpatient procedure done under local anesthesia, with tissue examined under a microscope during the operation. Most cases are finished the same day, and most tumors need one to three stages. Patients are asked to set aside a full day. According to the practice, Mohs is the most effective treatment for most types of skin cancer, and its approach aims for a high cure rate while sparing as much healthy skin as possible.
Cosmetic services include chemical peels, microneedling, PRP injections, wrinkle relaxers, dermal fillers, NovaThreads, sclerotherapy and laser hair removal, along with a range of laser skin treatments.
Physicians weigh each patient's symptoms, history, lifestyle, preferences and goals before recommending a plan, and dermatologists from different specialties work together on treatment.
