It is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm, Friday from 9 am to 1 pm, and closed Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday. Its work centers on braids, crochet braids, cornrows, twists and a wide range of locs, with loc maintenance, extensions, color, relaxers, silk press and treatments also on the menu.

The team says it aims to keep updating how it maintains natural, healthy hair, and services take place in a calm, relaxing environment. Clients seeking permanent loc extensions start with a consultation. The loc menu covers soft, invisible, star, waterfall, goddess, island and micro locs, along with loc re-attachment for a full head without glue or thread, a detox soak to cleanse buildup, and bead additions for existing locs.

Hair color starts with an in-person consultation, and the $30 fee goes toward the service; color is not done the same day. Clients are asked to text (240) 353-0800 during business hours, as calls and voicemails are not taken, and social media messages are not considered a proper way to reach the salon. There is a 10 minute grace period for lateness, and arrival should be communicated within 15 minutes of the appointment time. Clients who have not arrived 30 minutes after their time may be treated as no call no shows and forfeit the booking fee. Booking fees and services are non-refundable, and deposits can be moved once to a rescheduled appointment. Appointments can be changed or cancelled manually within 24 hours; after that, clients must text for instructions. If a client is unhappy, they should say so to their stylist before leaving so a second appointment can be arranged, and additional fees may apply. Extra guests are not allowed unless they are being serviced. After-hours bookings carry a $100 fee and are requested by text.

It sells Star Loc Kits, Soft Loc Kits, Island Loc Bundles, a Scalp Cleanser and Oil, and offers an online Star Loc Master Course for stylists along with a free Hair Parting Guide e-book. Online product sales are final, and used extensions and products cannot be returned or exchanged. All major credit cards are accepted, and online payments are charged in full at purchase.
