Jayla D., also known as J'la D., owns Unlocd Salon and works as a stylist there. She has worked in cosmetology for over 10 years and specializes in natural hair care. She won Best Natural Hairstylist at the Naturalista Hairshow in Silver Spring, Maryland, in 2014, and was voted Washington DC's RAW Artist Hair Stylist of the Year in 2015. She has worked as an experienced editorial hair artist, with her work appearing in Sophisticates Black Hair Magazine, Premium Fuel Magazine and Caramella Magazine. Her styling has been featured on runways at New York Fashion Week, DC Fashion Week, Indie Fashion Week and other shows. She is also a former educational advisor for Joico Hair Color.
