The stated goal is to ease stress by offering a calm, professional room where clients can put their attention on themselves. The space is described as quiet, zen-inspired and spa-like. Tablets are available so clients can watch shows during the appointment, and clients are asked to bring their own earbuds.

Every takedown begins with a sizing braid test on arrival, and the stylist may adjust the time and price based on what that shows. Clients need to complete and sign a waiver before their visit or the appointment may be moved. Moderately matted or tangled hair carries a $35 additional fee, and severely matted hair carries a $50 detangling fee plus $50 for each extra hour needed; the final assessment happens on arrival. Natural hair at armpit length or longer carries a $25 fee, and keeping extensions that cannot be cut during takedown may add $25. Children aged 6 and up are welcome with an adult, and kids 12 and under get 15% off with the code KID at checkout. Beads, barrettes and bows should come out of a child's hair before the appointment.

Takedown is the only service offered, with the aim of removing hair safely and at a steady pace in a calm room. A sizing test at the start of each visit determines how long the work will take and what it will cost.
