Ukiyo Beauty & Ink takes its name from the idea of living in the moment and setting everyday worries aside. The space is meant to feel relaxed and calm, somewhere clients can recharge. Julie, the owner, is a licensed esthetician and cosmetic tattoo artist who works on brows, lashes and cosmetic tattoo.

The brow menu covers tinting, waxing, a wax and tint combination, a hybrid brow stain with or without waxing or shaping, and brow lamination with or without tint. Combination Brows and Nano Hair Strokes are longer appointments of about three and a half hours, and the site labels Nano Hair Strokes as its number one service. A Nano touch-up is offered about four weeks after the original session.

Cosmetic tattoo work centers on Ombre Powder Brow, a semi-permanent brow tattoo. Touch-up pricing depends on how many months or years have passed since the original, and a 24-month-plus touch-up is priced on a custom basis. Saline tattoo lightening is offered for brows, and an urgent saline removal is available for unwanted brow pigment within 24 to 48 hours. Correction and cover-up requests are not currently accepted. Before booking, cosmetic tattoo clients review a disqualification list, and clients who are unsuitable are refused service and lose their deposit.

Appointments can be booked online, and some services are request-to-book rather than instant. Rescheduling needs at least seven days notice, and clients can move an appointment up to two times, to a date no more than six months from the original, at the current rate. Cancellations or no-shows with less than 24 hours notice are charged in full to the card on file. Brow lamination and lash lift aftercare is listed on the site and covers avoiding water, steam and certain products for a day or more after the service. Free brow and scar or stretch mark consultations are also available.
