Toccare was established in 2013 and operates as a small day spa in Dilworth, on the second floor above Sally's Optical. Clients reach it by a flight of metal stairs, as there is no elevator yet.

The salon says its treatments aim to nurture both skin and spirit, pairing advanced technique with a sensory, restorative experience. Clients are welcomed with or without makeup, acne or wrinkles. Facials use only ingredients considered safe for pregnancy, and the team keeps health and safety in mind when choosing the best products and services it can offer.

During a facial, the esthetician chooses the products and enhancements once the client is in the treatment room, so each session is shaped to the individual. Clients are offered hot tea or water and can use a small relaxation area before and after services. The spa does not offer resort-style amenities. Group bookings are possible depending on group size and what each person books, and pre-wedding facials are offered for brides and grooms.

The facial menu is built around the Ritual Facial, offered in 45, 60 and 90-minute versions with pricing that depends on the esthetician's level. Other options include the Clarifying Ritual Facial for acne-focused care, the Glacial, Microneedling, BioRePeel, NeoLifting and a Gua Sha Facial. Massage includes customized sessions with deep tissue available as an option, prenatal massage for the second and third trimesters, and several 90-minute signature massages. Couples massages are not offered because each room has one table, though back-to-back massages for two are possible when an opening exists.

Hair removal is done in hard or soft wax on the face, body and brows, and the esthetician discusses which option suits the client during the service. Bikini, French bikini and Brazilian waxing are offered only for women; men can book any other service. Brow and lash tinting is offered in four shades matched to skin tone and hair color. The shop sells skincare, body, makeup, fragrance and sun care products, arranged by brand and category, and the team says it will never push a product for the sake of a sale. Gift certificates are available in person and online.

The facial approach is holistic and centers on natural, minimally invasive treatments, and each treatment is customized to the client's skin needs rather than a one-size-fits-all product or protocol.
