Tinted Hair Studio sits in Phenix Salon Suites at Jordan Landing, next to Target, in West Jordan. It is open Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, and Friday and Saturday mornings, and is closed Sunday through Tuesday, except that Wednesday and Thursday run 1:00 to 7:00 PM and Friday and Saturday run 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Jamie Martinez leads the color and extension work. Balayage and color are her main focus, and she also installs hair extensions, including bead weft extensions. Clients can book single all-over color, double process color, custom color appointments and toning, and the salon says a booking profile shows an overall rating of 5.0 from 46 reviews.

Blonding is organized around a few clear options. Balayage is hand painted and customized to each client, and the salon says it grows out more naturally. Half highlights cover the top half of the head, and full highlights cover the whole head. A full bleach out is for a solid blonde. A bleach root touch up is only for solid bleach roots with up to 7 weeks of growth; longer growth needs a full bleach out first.

Hair extension visits begin with a free consultation. New weft extensions are installed as a two-row install with a cut for blending and the client takes home a gift bag, though the install price does not include the hair itself. Move-ups, which are reinstalls, are recommended every 5 to 8 weeks. Single-row weft extensions are also available. Wedding hair requires speaking with Jamie before booking and includes a dry run on a separate day.

Some policies matter when booking. Space is limited, so clients are asked not to bring friends to appointments. Cancellations need to be rescheduled at least 24 hours ahead, and a late cancellation costs 50% of the scheduled price or $25, whichever is greater. Appointments longer than 4 hours need 48 hours notice, and clients who do not call and do not show up will not be rebooked.

Services are customized to each client, with balayage hand painted and extension installs done with hidden beads so none are exposed on the scalp.
