Tinailery was co-founded by Cammie Lo and Phoebe Chen and focuses on Japanese nail art and lash extensions. The salon says it puts weight on customer service, cleanliness, professionalism and premium products at an affordable price. Street parking is available, and the nearest transit is Tappan Street station on the Green Line C branch.

About

Staff go through a rigorous training process before working in the salon, and most are certified by Leafgel Premium, a Japanese nail brand. Staff also take afterwork and seasonal training in Asia. Appointments can be booked online, through WeChat, or by calling or texting the salon.

Gel nail art is done on hard gel only. Options include classic French tips, single and double color ombre, and reflective gel designs, with simple, medium and hard nail art priced by complexity and custom designs quoted on request. Lash services cover classic, wet, volume and mega volume extensions, bottom lashes and color lashes, and removal is free when a new set is booked at Tinailery. Manicures and pedicures range from polish and gel to hard gel and organic spa treatments with essential oils.

Pedicure tubs are magnetized, which the salon says helps prevent bacterial build-up, and every pedicure uses a fresh bath liner. Instruments are sterilized in an autoclave oven and sealed after each use, and buffers, files, pumice stones, flip-flops and toe separators are discarded after each client. Staff keep each client's service history so preferences can be remembered.

A $65 security deposit is required for each booked service. It is not refunded for arriving more than 15 minutes late, no-shows, or changes made with less than 48 hours notice, and service changes need 24 hours notice. Rescheduling and cancelling are done by text, and online bookings cannot be cancelled by the client alone because the salon refunds deposits manually. Deposits can be paid by Venmo; Zelle payments are not refundable. Companions are discouraged, pets need advance notice, and strong-smelling food and e-cigarettes are not allowed. VIP gift cards of $500, $1000 or $1500 give 5%, 10% or 15% off. Hours are Monday 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, Tuesday to Friday 10:30 am to 7:30 pm, Saturday 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Sunday 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
