Thorn & Grove Salon is owned and run by Sarah Reed, who created it to offer a more private and personalized way to get luxury hair care. The salon describes its approach as private and personalized.

Each appointment is tailored to the individual client, with time given to detail and a relaxed pace. Before working on hair, Sarah considers each client's features, complexion, lifestyle, upkeep preferences and how they style their hair at home.

The menu covers color, from glosses and root retouches to all-over color, color melts, partial and full highlights, balayage and gray blending, often paired with a cut or a finish. Haircuts are offered for women and men, with bang trims, and shampoo and blow-dry styling is available on its own. Deep conditioning and keratin smoothing treatments round out the list.

New clients booking keratin smoothing are asked for a $50 deposit. The salon asks for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule when possible. Hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 AM to 5 PM, Thursday and Friday from 9 AM to 4:30 PM, and the salon is closed Monday, Saturday and Sunday.
