thewinkbabe was founded in 2021 by Irene, who started the business without prior entrepreneurial experience. The studio describes itself as a safe and welcoming space where clients can relax during their visit.

Before a set is designed, Irene takes time to learn about each client's preferences, daily life and the look they want. The set is then shaped around that individual client's style rather than a single template.

The extension menu has four styles. Classic Plus uses fine .15 classic extensions with volume spikes to add length without much extra density. Signature Volume uses lightweight .03 volume fans for a fuller look that stays neat and clean rather than wispy or textured. Wet n Wispy relies only on volume spikes for a subtle, mascara-like definition and length. Wispy Galore combines volume fans and spikes for a dense, dramatic result.

Lash lifts and tints curl natural lashes from the base using a perming solution. Lash extensions typically last four to six weeks, depending on natural lash growth and upkeep, and refills every two to three weeks are recommended. Each appointment ends with an aftercare kit containing a lash cleanser, brush and spoolie.

Clients are asked to arrive with no makeup on, including mascara, eyeliner, strip lashes and eyeshadow. Mascara and strip lashes should be avoided for at least 24 hours beforehand, and caffeine for four to six hours before. Allergies, sensitivities, eye procedures in the past six months, and any old lash sets needing removal should be mentioned before the appointment. After the service, extensions should stay dry for at least 24 hours, and oil-based products should be kept away from the eyes.

Designs are tailored to each client's own style, and the studio describes its lash work as enhancing natural beauty.
