The Yellow Comb was created by its owner, Nicolle, and takes its name from her favorite color. Parking is in the rear of the building, and clients come in through the yellow front door.

Hair services run from precision cuts and washes with blowdries to updos, braids, bang trims and hair lessons. Coloring covers root retouches, toning, men's color, partial and full foils and balayage, with or without a cut or blowdry. Listed prices are starting prices and can change for extra product.

Treatments include two keratin options, an express blowout and a straightening treatment, along with deep conditioning masks, a CPR treatment and emergency service.

The studio keeps regular hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and stays closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. Cancelling or rescheduling requires at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours are charged half the price of the service, and a no-show is charged the full scheduled service with no refund. If a client arrives more than 15 minutes late, the appointment may be shortened or moved to another time, depending on the service booked. Requests to adjust a service can be made within 7 days of the visit.
