Owner Jyl Straub started there in 1990 shortly after finishing high school, then spent 18 years working under previous owner Bev Gadbaw before taking over the salon in 2008. The salon opened in October 1990 and says it is one of the longest-running businesses in Historic Downtown Camas. Owner Jyl Straub started there in 1990 shortly after finishing high school, then spent 18 years working under previous owner Bev Gadbaw before taking over the salon in 2008. The salon currently has four stylists.

The salon describes its goal as a comfortable space where every client feels welcome, and aims to keep prices affordable while doing high-quality work. Its stylists focus on edgy cuts and colors and follow current trends.

Color is blended custom to each look. Services are grouped into cut and styling, hair coloring, hair flair (clip-ins, glitter and tinsel, feathers and pops of color), texture and smoothing, and formal and bridal work. Haircut prices range from $25 to $45 and depend on the stylist and on hair length and thickness, so the salon advises checking with a stylist before each appointment. Vivid color and hair extensions require a consultation, and bridal parties do too.

The salon takes part in community events in Downtown Camas and participates in Locks of Love and Looks Good, Feel Better. Over the years it has listed a number of local honors, including a Downtown Spirit Award and a Camas Day Parade grand prize, plus a runner-up Best Salon placing in Best of Clark County.
