The White Rabbit is a booth rental salon in Knoxville's Bearden area. It started as a small salon before moving to its current location on Homberg Drive, and it is set up around a whimsical Wonderland theme.
The salon's stated aim is to make every stylist and client feel welcome, accepted and comfortable. Founder Scarlet Strange opened a judgement-free salon with Salon Absinthe in 2015 and believes judgement-free should be the standard for salons. The salon says it was the first in Knoxville to offer gender-neutral pricing and that it started the all-inclusive salon movement in the city.
For independent stylists, chairs rent for $200 per week with backbar supplies included. Booth renters get 24/7 access to their chair, towel laundry, Gloss Genius booking software and salon-wide marketing that promotes their chairs. Ample client parking is available.
The salon describes its approach as holistic beauty, and its stylists work across custom color, cuts, perms, extensions, hair replacements and corrections.
