The studio is owned by Tracy Burns, who started an apprenticeship at the Toni & Guy flagship salon in Dallas in the 1990s. After opening a salon in Dallas, she moved to Los Angeles and spent the next 18 years opening salons in Venice, Woodland Hills and Topanga before returning to Texas to open the Smithville studio.
