The Sugar Whisperer is a studio in Black Diamond, Washington, that works by appointment only. The listed hours are Tuesday to Thursday from 9:00am to 6:00pm, Friday from 1:00pm to 6:00pm, and Saturday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Sugaring is made from sugar, lemon juice, and water. It takes hair off at the root without removing live skin, and it also exfoliates. The salon describes its sugaring as 100% natural.

About

Sugaring covers legs, arms, underarms, bikini and Brazilian areas, the face, and the torso. The bikini line service covers one inch inside and two inches outside the panty line, and the extended bikini covers three inches inside and two inches outside. A new-client Brazilian includes as much as wanted in the front, the labia, and the backside, and returning clients can book maintenance every four to five weeks or after five weeks. Backside and buttock add-ons are available. Customized packages with targeted aftercare and homecare can be arranged on request.

The facial menu runs from a 25-minute Express Facial, which includes a skin analysis, enzyme exfoliation, and a targeted mask, to a 50-minute Ritual Facial that adds facial massage and serums chosen for each client's skin. The Rezenerate Nano Facial takes 60 minutes and uses nanotechnology, acupressure, and cold therapy. The salon states it softens fine lines and brightens dull skin with no downtime, and the eye and lip version is a shorter option. A two-step Factor 5 Renew Dermal Peel is also offered, with a 7-day post-treatment kit. Skin brightening is priced per area and is usually recommended as a series of at least three sessions.

Booking requires a 50% deposit, which is refundable if the appointment is cancelled at least 24 hours ahead. Cancellations made within 24 hours and no-shows are charged 50% of the total booking price. Hair should be about 1/8 to 1/4 inch long for sugaring and at least 10 days to two weeks past a shave. Clients are asked to exfoliate gently 48 hours before and to skip lotions, body oils, and deodorant on the day. Visits are usually spaced every three to six weeks, depending on the area. Clients using Accutane cannot be sugared, and waiting at least 72 hours after retinoids is recommended. Drapes are provided as needed, and all body sizes and shapes are welcome.

Sugaring is offered as a natural hair removal method that is gentle on live skin, with facials and aftercare built around it.
