The Style Collective is an appointment-only hair salon in Laguna Beach, run by owner stylist Elana Edelman. The salon sits on North Coast Highway and bookings are taken by phone or text.
The menu covers the full range of hair work: color and corrective color such as toners and touch-ups, highlights in partial or full versions, balayage, bleaching, and vibrant fashion colors. Extensions are available with the cost of the hair added on top. Haircuts are priced by age and by cut for children, teens, men and women, and styling includes blow dries, curls or straightening, updos, and blowout add-ons.
Treatments include a K-18 deep conditioning service. For clients who want to cover gray, a camo color is offered, which hides gray in a 15-minute process.
The salon's owner has a long run in the trade. She graduated from beauty school in 2001, then apprenticed in New York City before opening Hair Candy in San Francisco. She later returned to Laguna Beach and opened a second Hair Candy in Corona Del Mar, before moving The Style Collective into its current North Laguna Beach space in October 2018.
The salon aims to match each visit to what the client wants, whether that is a simple trim or a complete makeover.
