The Sparkle Bar

Alexandra Bradberry founded The Sparkle Bar in 2015, and the business marked its tenth year in 2025. The stated aim is to help each person feel beautiful, confident and seen. Rather than applying one standard look, the makeup is meant to bring out each client's natural features.

Bridal work is a major part of the studio. The signature bridal package starts at $550 and includes a personalized consultation, a trial run of about two hours, wedding day makeup, and long-wear, photo-ready glam. The bride's makeup takes about 90 minutes and each bridal party member about 50 to 65 minutes. Bridal add-ons cover the wider party, pre-wedding and rehearsal events, and touch-ups. Destination and international weddings can be arranged on request. Weddings are usually booked 12 to 16 months ahead, though shorter timelines may be possible depending on availability, and a date is held once a signed agreement and deposit are received.

Beyond weddings, the studio does private parties such as birthdays, bachelorettes, girls' groups and kids' or teen parties. Corporate and pop-up work includes glam bars, headshot touch-ups and glitter stations at brand activations, conferences and team events. Teen services cover prom, homecoming, senior portraits and Sweet 16s. Clients may bring their own favorite products to be included in the look. The studio also sells curated retail essentials and offers digital gift cards that are delivered instantly and can be used for any service.

The salon says its artists are trained, experienced and current with the latest techniques. Makeup lessons run one-on-one or in groups, from first-timers to working artists, with beginner lessons available for teens. Lessons connect to Sparkle Academy, the business's education platform launched in 2025, which offers hands-on training with mentorship and the business strategies needed to build a career, along with a Sparkle Certified Artist certification.

For a visit, clients are asked to arrive with clean, moisturized, makeup-free skin and to avoid peels or facials at least 48 hours before. Appointments before 9 AM or after 6 PM carry a $30 non-refundable extended hours fee, and a 10-minute grace period applies to late arrivals. Deposits are non-refundable, go toward the service total, and are required for all on-location services. Changes or cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, later cancellations are charged in full, and same-day changes carry a $30 fee if the studio can accommodate them. On-location travel within 10 miles of the studio is included, with additional mileage charged. Street parking and a private lot behind the studio are available.
