A visit is a private appointment with no rotating staff. Every facial is built in the room on the day and can be adjusted if the skin looks different from the last visit. A first visit is one hour and includes a conversation, a skin check under magnification, the treatment and a written plan if wanted. Makeup does not need to be removed beforehand because the skin is cleansed at the start. Clients are asked to stop strong actives such as retinol, high-strength acids and scrubs two or three days before treatment, and to disclose pregnancy, recent injectables, isotretinoin, active cold sores, implanted devices or any cancer treatment before the appointment. Most treatments have no downtime; peels may leave light flaking for a few days. The studio suggests facials every four to six weeks for results, and says individual results vary with skin and home care.
