The Secret Hair Studio

The Secret Hair Studio is a hair salon in Danbury, Connecticut, at 83 Mill Plain Road. Co-founders Tiffany and Meaghan began planning the studio in 2015, and its doors officially opened on March 15, 2016. The business started out in a small salon suite before the founders built their own studio space.

The studio runs as a client-sharing salon, so clients may see any stylist working in the space. It is staffed by a team of stylists along with chair renters, who are independent and hold their own gift cards.

The studio is open Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 8pm, Wednesday from 10am to 8pm, Friday from 8am to 4pm and Saturday from 8am to 3pm, and it is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Appointments are confirmed by call, text or email two days ahead. Changes and cancellations need 24 hours' notice, and cancellations made within 24 hours carry a 50% charge on the booked services. Clients are encouraged to book their next visit before they leave.

Gift cards are sold year-round in a range of amounts, in the studio or as online e-certificates. They can be used for services with studio employees and for all purchases, though some staff are chair renters with their own gift cards. Wedding services are also offered, with stylists working with brides and bridal parties under a bridal contract that explains what to expect and what is included.
