Students train on a salon floor set up to resemble a high-end salon. Guests book services that students perform, with licensed professional educators supervising. Students also practice on mannequins and each other before working on the public. Over the program they work on up to 240 guests, four days a week. Because students perform the work, prices vary with each student's training level, and the site lists starting prices.

Each student's training begins on day one with industry-specific business instruction and finishes with business training on the last day. The school says it keeps classes small for one-on-one attention and holds students accountable for technical, business and service skills. Redken is the primary haircare line, and Redken artists visit the school to speak with students at no cost, according to testimonials. Students also learn a business-building system called KRS, according to testimonials, and staff help graduates look for job openings.
