The Rooted Rose

The Rooted Rose opened on April 1, 2021, founded by owner and stylist Colleen after several years running an independent suite. According to the owner, the team has eight people, combining hair and esthetics under one roof.

The salon's mission is to bring current hair and esthetics trends to guests in a calm, welcoming space. It describes itself as calm, inviting and retreat-like, and describes its team as highly skilled.

Coloring includes signature coloring looks, signature blonding, color add-ons and simpler color services, plus styling, texture services and hand-tied extensions, which start with a consultation. The Rooted Blend is a full-head balayage for adding dimension, for blondes going darker or brunettes adding brightness. On the skin side, the Radiance Renewal Facial combines a consultation, double cleanse, dermaplaning, a hydrating mask, steam, a gentle peel and finishing serums. Golden Bloom is a UV-free airbrush tan, and the salon also offers lash enhancements, brow and body waxing and massage.

Each visit includes complimentary water, coffee, soda, mini wine and snacks, and guests may bring their own refreshments. Alcoholic beverages are for guests 21 and older, limited to two. There is a comfort room for waiting, a porch for warmer seasons, a work station and disposable headphones, and restrooms with black robes to change into. Parking is in the lot and on the gravel at the back. The salon has no receptionist, so walk-ins may go unnoticed when it is busy.

Booking policies: cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, later cancellations are charged 50% of services, and same-day cancellations and no-shows are charged 100%. Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late are rescheduled and charged a late fee. Guests without a card on file who cancel late or no-show may not rebook. Children and other additional guests are allowed only if they are receiving a service. The salon offers a monthly membership, packages and gift cards, accepts all major credit cards, and takes pre-visit questions by email.
