The Painted Gypsy opened in Mount Kisco in 2019, founded by owner and colorist Andrea.

The salon aims to get clients looking their best and on their way without wasting time, and it works around busy schedules. Walk-ins are welcome alongside booked appointments. Reminders go out 48 hours before an appointment.

Services are grouped under hair and include haircut with blowout from $80, blowout and styling from $50 to $75, single process color from $80 to $100, and highlights and balayage from $150 to $250 or more. Conditioning treatments start at $50, and extensions are priced after a consultation.

Booking requires a 50% deposit of the service amount, charged to the card on file. Changes made within 24 hours are charged 50% of the service, same-day cancellations are charged in full, and no-shows are charged in full and cannot reschedule. One last-minute cancellation or reschedule is allowed for illness or a family emergency. Cash, check and credit card are accepted.

Hours are Tuesday to Thursday 10am to 8pm, Friday 9am to 5pm, and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 3pm. The salon describes its team as qualified professionals and says it aims to offer the best hair in Westchester.
