About

The Mediluxe Spa describes itself as a luxury boutique medical spa. It was founded by nurse practitioner Jacquelyn Katz on the belief that self-care is central to good health and overall wellness. The spa sits in Lansdowne Town Center, just off Route 7 and Belmont Ridge Road, and says it welcomes clients from Leesburg, Lansdowne, Reston, Herndon, Sterling, Middleburg, Purcellville, Round Hill, Aldie and the wider area.

The menu falls into a few groups. Injectables cover Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau and Xeomin for lines in areas such as the forehead, between the brows and around the eyes, along with hyaluronic acid dermal fillers in several brands and Kybella as a nonsurgical fat reduction option. Skincare includes facials that begin with an evaluation by a master esthetician, microneedling, platelet rich plasma and platelet rich fibrin, chemical peels, dermaplaning, hydrodermabrasion, LED light therapy and the Skinwave Facial. Wellness covers IV drips, vitamin boosters and weight management, which begins with a consultation and can include prescription appetite suppressants, metabolic vitamin injections and IV drips depending on medical history and goals.

A first visit starts with a questionnaire and health history completed on arrival, and clients are asked to come five to ten minutes early for paperwork. A nurse practitioner reviews the history and completes a physical exam before any treatment. For facials and consultations, clients are asked to arrive without makeup if possible. IV drips are given in a private room with a zero-gravity massage chair and most take 45 to 60 minutes; clients are advised to hydrate and eat a snack beforehand, and staff provide one if needed. Lab work may be required before certain drips.

Bookings can be made online through the website's booking widget, or by phone at 703-687-4349 or email at hello@themediluxe.com. Treatment series packages are offered on most services for savings, and LuxeVIP memberships come with special pricing. Private events are hosted, and services can be combined for groups such as girls' days out and bachelorette parties. Botox parties are offered on Sundays for groups of up to six.

Policies to know: a credit card is kept on file to guarantee appointments, and cancellations or rescheduling need at least 24 hours' notice. A no-show or late cancellation carries a flat $100 fee, or $25 for vitamin injection appointments. Group appointments need 48 hours' notice, with a $350 fee for a no-show or late cancellation. Clients must be at least 21 for cosmetic injectables. Anyone who is sick, or was sick in the 48 hours before, is asked to reschedule. Children under 12 may only enter reception or treatment areas when receiving a service, and cell phones are not allowed in treatment areas. Insurance is not accepted for medical services and full payment is due at the time of service. Cash, debit, Mediluxe gift cards, Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted. FSA and HSA cards do not cover cosmetic treatments but may be used for some medical wellness services. Gift cards are non-refundable and have no expiration date. The site notes that individual results with vitamin therapy may vary and that its statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.

Treatments are customized: the team first learns each client's goals and needs, then builds a balanced plan, often recommending combination treatments for facial and skin rejuvenation. The stated aim is to enhance a client's natural beauty rather than change their appearance.

Set in a boutique medical spa with private IV rooms equipped with zero-gravity massage chairs.
