The Mane Gallery is run by a single stylist based in Brooklyn, offering braids, loc maintenance and wig services. Clients can come to the Avenue M location or have the stylist travel to them elsewhere in the borough.

The braid menu starts with a braid down only, a roughly 30-minute option for installs, U-part wigs or other reasons that covers 10 to 20 braids. From there it moves through knotless braids in several sizes, freestyle feed-ins, butt-length boho knotless braids and tribal braids. Most styles are long appointments: large knotless takes about 4 hours or more, while small knotless can run about 7 hours or more, so clients are asked to leave a 1 to 2 hour gap before other plans.

Loc retwists include a wash and a regular retwist and are done only on damage-free locs; locs needing more maintenance require a consultation first. Wig installation includes a braid down, and wig customization covers bleaching the knots, washing, plucking, and optional styling and cutting, with pricing that varies by unit.

Clients are asked to arrive with freshly washed, product-free hair, which does not need to be dry since the stylist dries it on arrival. Clients buy their own hair, and the number of packs needed depends on the style. Wig units for installation or customization should be dropped off 3 to 5 days before the appointment.
