The Mane Coalition

The Mane Coalition is a women's hair salon located in Studio #1 at Sola Salon Studios on South Hulen Street in Fort Worth. The salon works by appointment only and takes no walk-ins. Clients book through an online system that shows real-time availability and is open 24 hours a day, and a debit or credit card is held on file to secure the booking. The card is only charged if the cancellation policy is broken.

The salon is a pre-pay business. Chemical services and hair extension appointments need a deposit, sent by email or text, before they are confirmed. If the deposit is not paid by its due date, the appointment is declined and the time slot is released. Payment is due before the service begins, and the salon accepts Visa, American Express, Mastercard and Discover. Electronic payment is preferred, and cash and checks are not accepted.

Each visit is for one client at a time, so the studio is not shared between appointments. Only the person being serviced may come inside, as there is no extra seating for guests, and eating during a service is not permitted. Clients need to arrive with their hair fully detangled, since detangling is not included in the service time. Stylists set a length, density and product charge at their discretion, and the salon notes that all services are subject to it.

Progress is photographed at each appointment. The salon may use before and after photos or video on its website, in print and on social media for promotion. Teens under 16 cannot book color or chemical texture services, and clients aged 16 or 17 need a parent present and written parental consent.

Late arrivals of more than 15 minutes after the start time incur a late fee. Clients who do not give timely notice of a cancellation or reschedule may be charged 50 to 100 percent of the planned service cost, and repeated cancellations or reschedules can lead to being denied future bookings. Top-tier members receive loyalty reward incentives. The salon also sells a range of hair products and gift cards, with eGift amounts of $50, $110, $300 and $500, or a custom amount. The salon says its members rated it highest in customer service, quality and environment, and that it holds a 5-star rating on Facebook. The salon is state regulated and inspected without notice.
