The Main Oak

The Main Oak is a brow and lash studio in Mesa, Arizona, owned and run by Arielle Williams. The business says its purpose is to put clients at the center through its lash and brow work.

Every visit starts with a consultation about goals, preferences and concerns, and the first appointment includes time for that conversation. Before and after photos are taken and kept in each client's file, and clients can see them. The skin or area is cleaned before each service to remove oils and makeup, and detailed aftercare instructions follow every appointment.

Brow services include thread or wax hair removal from the root for $25, brow tinting for $40, and brow lamination for $50 for 30 minutes. Microblading, combination brows (microblading plus shading) and ombre brows (all shading) are also offered, with the price for combination and microblading not listed on the site. Brow color is matched to each client's natural hair color. Initial brow appointments are booked for 2 to 3 hours, and touch-ups for 1 hour.

Lash lifts cost $70 and lift and curl natural lashes with a lifting solution and a curling rod. Lash extensions are customized to each client's eye shape to add fullness, curl and length, and start at $150 per full set.

Booking requires a $50 nonrefundable deposit within 24 hours and a card on file. Changes or cancellations need 48 hours' notice, with late cancellations charged 20 percent and no-shows charged the full price. Clients must be 18 or older to book, and clients are asked to arrive on time, with a 7-minute late policy. Venmo, Zelle and cash are accepted, and credit or debit cards carry a 3.5 percent fee. Clients with permanent makeup from another artist need it about 80 percent faded and must email a forward-facing photo for review; these clients are charged more and results are not guaranteed.
